So these blogs will do three things every month. 1. Update you on my search for the lost claims and hopefully help you in yours
2. Offer you an adventure of your own 3. Present a little interesting tid-bit which will occasionally have free downloads as a gift from me to you. 1. My search- Found a map with some details so I filed an intent to claim with the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) which got kicked back due to an incorrect NMC number. While it might seem exciting to pursue old treasure, a lot of the initial work is digging through the proper paper work first. In a day or two, I'll have the correct forms for you all if you want to pursue it. It cost me a lot of time and phone calls- happy to save you the trouble. 2. The Adventure- In honor of Nevada's 150th anniversary, I will release a limited geo-cache each month with a treat inside. This month is a small silver coin for the Silver State near one of the locations in the book. N36 degrees 16.423 minutes W114 degrees 59.809 minutes. I put a couple other small things in there. Drop me a note if you find it. 3. Tid-Bits- The University of Nevada was very helpful in the "how to" of filing a claim. Under http://www.nbmg.unr.edu/dox/dox.htm is SP6 and SP8 or how to file a claim for dummies.
