A small train line used to run through Schurtz so slow you could shoot a rabbit get off, pick it up and get back on. Indians were allowed to ride for free, on the top. Pretty progressive actually considering the US Government's habit of breaking treaties like they were one night stands.
Reservation Indian land is usually the crumbs from any area but the upside is few folks care to be there and the Native Americans can finally have peace and quiet if they want it. The southern Paiutes have been wise in using their time to steward their songs and language.Stop on your way and say a prayer for rain.
